The short version
Your basic enhancements never leave your iPhone, and your original, unaltered photo is always kept on your device and included with every export. The only time a photo goes to the cloud is when you choose to virtually stage, declutter, or replace the sky in it — and that one photo is used only to create your staged image, is not used to train any AI model, and is deleted after the job. In Guest mode, Curbframe makes no network calls at all.
What stays on your device, always
- Your original, unaltered photos — never modified, never deleted, always exported alongside any edits.
- All basic enhancements: exposure, white balance, contrast, sharpening, lens & perspective correction, cropping, and sky enhancement. These are computed on your iPhone and never uploaded.
- Your listings and edit history, stored locally on your device.
What is sent to the cloud — only when you choose to stage
To virtually stage, declutter, or replace the sky in a photo, Curbframe sends that one photo to our cloud processing, which runs on Cloudflare (including Cloudflare Workers AI). Your photo is used only to create your staged image. It is not used to train any AI model and is deleted after your staged photo is ready.
Curbframe records your consent before the first such upload, and shows you the recipient at that moment — this is a real consent gate, not a dismissible banner. Basic on-device enhancement never requires consent, because nothing is sent.
Every staged photo is returned with a permanent “DIGITALLY ALTERED” label and a link to your original, so your listing stays honest and disclosure-ready.
What we store to run your account (paid lane only)
The paid lane (subscription or credit packs) requires Sign in with Apple. For it, we store the minimum needed to run your account and a fair, server-tracked balance:
- Your Apple sign-in identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email — to secure your account and your staged-room balance.
- Your App Store purchase records — to apply your subscription and credits. Credits are tracked on our server so they can never go negative and are granted exactly once.
The free and Guest lanes collect nothing: no account, no upload.
What we never do
- No ads. No selling or sharing your data with advertisers. No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No training any model on your photos. No long-term retention of uploaded room photos.
Purchases
If you buy a subscription or a credit pack, the payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. Your payment details are entered into Apple's system, not Curbframe, and we never see or receive your card or account information.
Where your data is protected
On-device data (your listings, edits, and originals) is stored with Apple's data protection and tied to your device passcode. Like any app, Curbframe's on-device data is included in your own iPhone backup if you have one turned on; that backup is Apple's, controlled by you. Curbframe never syncs your originals to any cloud.
Children
Curbframe is a professional tool for a general audience and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
